This policy sets out the consent requirements for content published on FAN-X, operated by Fanz Unlimited Network LLC. It reflects MasterCard's revised Specialty Merchant Registration standards for adult-content merchants and applicable law. A binding written consent agreement is executed by each participant before their depiction is distributed.
Required Consent
Before uploading any content depicting another individual, a creator must:
- Verify identity — confirm the identity of every depicted individual
- Verify age — confirm every depicted individual is 18 or older
- Obtain written consent — a signed consent / model-release form covering the specific content and its distribution on the platform
- Maintain records — retain the consent documentation for at least 7 years
What Each Consent Record Contains
- Full legal name of the depicted individual
- Date of birth
- Government-issued ID reference
- Explicit consent to create, distribute, and display the specific content
- A description of the content covered by the consent
- Signature and date
Ongoing & Informed Consent
Consent must be freely given, specific, and informed. Participants are told how their content will be used and distributed. Consent for one piece of content is not consent for another; each scene or set requires its own consent record.
Revocation of Consent
A depicted individual may revoke consent at any time. Revocation requests are processed within 48 hours, and the affected content is removed from all platforms operated by Fanz Unlimited Network LLC. Records required by law are retained for the mandated period even after removal, but the content is no longer distributed.
Platform Verification
Age and identity verification of creators is performed by VerifyMy. FAN-X reviews consent documentation as part of content compliance and may withhold or remove content where consent cannot be established. Reports of content published without consent are handled under our Complaint & Non-Consensual Imagery Policy (48-hour removal).
